Chris B. Murray is a visual artist currently living and working out of Philadelphia, PA (originally from upstate NY). From an early age, Chris immersed himself in everything that dealt with pop culture. His most favorite one being hip-hop and everything surrounding it’s culture including graffiti art, sneaker hoarding / streetwear fashion but most importantly, the style & attitude. Every aspect spoke loudly to him. He even goes as far to say that the culture played a major role in nurturing his creativity through his formative years. Those very same influences are deeply rooted in the work he is still making today from the vast array of color usage and character treatment, from inventive narratives to the meticulous compositions and concepts. In his newest exploration, Chris uses a group of misfit characters (The CBM FAMALAM) to maneuver through the human experience that is woven within the theme, nature vs culture. By joining the two worlds together through visual storytelling, Chris hopes to tell a greater tale for generations to come.
